Responses to that consultation identified a number of issues which required further consideration which the Home Office has worked closely with key partners on. These responses have been integrated into the draft code of practice and the statutory consultation on the surveillance camera code of practice started on 7 February. |

The new instant online check was delayed by the need to make urgent changes to the Disclosure and Barring Service’s disclosure system following a Court of Appeal judgement. We laid the relevant secondary legislation on 25 March. The instant online check has completed all development and testing and is due to become operational on 17 June. |
